“There are times in our lives when all the planning we have done goes to hell. Something can come along that demands immediate attention and we have to drop everything we are doing. For the next little while all there is, is That One Thing.

I woke up in my apartment next to the body of Trudy and one of those monsters. I’m also missing a finger. That finger of mine is lodged somewhere in the creature’s throat, I am sure. The creature that used to be Trudy’s kid. My plans have gone to hell. From what I have seen of those things, the end of the road is right around the corner for me. That means the clock is ticking and I do not have much time left. I have to visit The Czech. The Czech owed me 75 large but he had different plans.
